A 12 x 12 inch watercolour portrait of Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche, painted in 2022. A fine-art piece rendered in soft, layered washes of colour, focused on capturing likeness and quiet presence rather than commercial branding.
Task
The challenge was purely artistic: capturing a recognisable, dignified likeness and a sense of quiet presence using layered watercolour washes.
